John, I'm running for Senate, and I fully intend to win this race.

It won't be easy. But I know how to take on a tough fight; I've been doing it my entire life. So when someone tries to tell me that a Black woman with all of the experience I bring to the table can't win this fight – I just smile and say, "Watch me."

I've never been afraid to do the right thing, whether it was working with my local NAACP to desegregate my high school cheer squad or standing alone on the House floor to vote against endless war. I'm ready to take these fights for progress to the Senate floor, but I need grassroots support to spread my message and win this race.
