As we close out 2023, I want to pause for a moment and reflect on what a tremendous year it’s been for our collective efforts to preserve and expand access to housing with lasting affordability. While only a few of the many successes across our network this year are spotlighted here, it is impossible to capture them all in a concise newsletter.

These are just a few examples of the significant progress accomplished by our staff team in 2023.

Our Research and National Policy Teams had a fantastic 2023, as we officially released our 2022 Census of Community Land Trusts and Nonprofit Shared Equity Homeownership and remained a strong and active voice in multiple affordable housing advocacy coalitions leading policy changes aimed at helping scale housing with lasting affordability. The EPA just announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for community-driven projects seeking to address climate and environmental justice issues in our communities. The funding could be used for a wealth of projects aimed at better protecting our communities from the impacts of the climate crisis. The EPA is accepting applications on a rolling basis through November 21, 2024
