The holiday season is in full swing in the Sierra Foothills. A few weeks ago, a supporter came up to me at a holiday party with a darling sign she made (see above!) that said “My Christmas Wish: a New Member of Congress.”
I, of course, found this hilarious. We laughed and took pictures with the sign. A line quickly formed and everyone came up and took a picture with me and the sign.
Now they are posting on their social media and texting their family: “All I want for Christmas is a New House of Representatives.” And then linking to my donation page.
One woman put her arm around me and said, “My kids never know what to get me for Christmas, so I told them to get me a new member of Congress and to donate to your campaign.”
Another supporter took my donation envelopes and said, “This will make a great stocking stuffer for my granddaughter working at Google, because, you know, she may want reproductive rights in the future.”
So give the gift of democracy this holiday season. Tell your family you want to safeguard democracy, protect the climate, and secure women’s reproductive rights. And then tell them to donate to my campaign.
