In 2023, Governor Roy Cooper kept his promise to expand Medicaid for North Carolinians.

Despite years of constant opposition from the GOP leaders, Roy never gave up the fight to make health care more affordable and accessible.

At times it looked like Republican legislators would renege on their deal. But all our supporters repeatedly showed Roy how committed you were to Medicaid Expansion, and we pushed past the GOP’s schemes.

John, our work simply wouldn’t be possible without you. We’re deeply grateful that you continue to stand with Roy and fight for what’s right, but there’s still so much more work to do.

In 2024, we will keep up the fight by supporting North Carolina Democrats and breaking the GOP’s supermajority in Raleigh. That’s the only way we’ll prevent them from playing politics with essential programs like Medicaid Expansion in the future.
