This small but mighty group started more than 14 years ago with the goal to get us all to call plastic what it is: pollution. Not litter, not marine debris– pollution. And they’ve succeeded! Plastic pollution is now widely recognized as a global crisis–there’s even a Global Plastics Treaty being negotiated at the UN level.
