Help Families Access the WIC Program

You can help Hunger Free America ensure families have access to nutritious food this holiday season!

WIC provides healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and social programs, which plays a critical role in strengthening women’s, infants’, and young children’s long-term health. Yet far too few eligible women and children enroll. In fact, more than half of all of those eligible in New York do not receive benefits.

Hunger Free America’s WIC Outreach Program helps eligible pregnant and postpartum women improve the long-term health for themselves and their young children. Our WIC Program Outreach team helps some of the most underserved communities in NYC access this important program. Last year, Hunger Free America secured over $1 million in annual WIC benefits for eligible families.
