The COVID-19 outbreak is requiring us all to alter almost everything about our daily life -- and this extends to the Maine Democratic Party as well.

That’s why we’ve decided to stop holding all in-person events, including phone banks, canvasses, fundraising events, and in-person trainings until further notice.

We are still committed to getting our message out there though -- that affordable and accessible health care is a human right, that the economy should work for all people, not just those at the top, that we must protect our planet for future generations, that we need to expand and protect reproductive health.

Cancelling all of our fundraising events makes meeting our budget tough. We are exploring ways to run virtual events, but we also know that this will lead to a sizeable gap.
