It's just a few days before we celebrate the birth of Christ, but I wanted to update you on my ongoing work to secure our border. 

We had the highest month of illegal crossings ever in September, October, and November. Then we had the highest single day of crossings this week, almost 13,000. As a point of reference, more people have crossed our southern border in the past two months than any full year during the Obama Administration. 

For three years, I have challenged the Biden Administration to stop the flow of millions of migrants. It is past time to restore order and stop the chaos. I know I stand with millions of other Americans saying enough is enough. 

This issue is only political in Washington, DC, but everywhere else in the country, it is a problem that we can and must fix.

Since October, I have negotiated a border security proposal that must get through a Democratic Senate, a Republican House, and a Democratic White House. Regardless of the current politics, we must confront the open chaotic southern border. My fellow Senate Republicans have stood with me and have refused to move any national security bill for our international allies until we secure our own border. 

Pray for me and my team as we work through the Christmas season to get this done. I pray you and your family enjoy the season. It is one of my favorite times of the year for worship, family, and celebration. I am grateful to partner with all of you to solve the biggest challenges of our nation.
