Hi – 

In case we haven’t had a chance to meet, my name is Solstice (no, really, that’s my name), and I’m the Digital Communications Coordinator for Conservation Voters of PA. I’ve lived all across our beautiful Commonwealth, and am proud to call Harrisburg home now.

This Winter Solstice is particularly special to me because even though today is filled with darkness, I am filled with hope about Pennsylvania's future. Just this year:

• We elected the first woman ever to serve as Speaker of the Pennsylvania State House.
• Voters elected fair-minded judges to statewide courts and beat back efforts to make our state courts look like the radical U.S. Supreme Court.
• We saw homeowners, businesses, and our cities and towns use federal clean energy incentives to move our state toward a clean energy future.

As days get longer in 2024, we must:

☀️Continue to capitalize on the once-in-a-lifetime federal investments from President Biden’s Clean Energy Plan to bring clean energy projects and jobs, environmental justice initiatives, and economy-stimulating tax credits to all Pennsylvanians;

☀️Pass proactive, pro-environment legislation in Harrisburg to protect against pollution and hasten the transition to a clean energy economy;

☀️Elect more environmental champions up and down the ballot to increase our majority in the state House and make progress in flipping the state Senate.

Together, we can make Pennsylvania shine as a leader of environmental justice, clean energy jobs, and environmental stewardship.

In 2024, Conservation Voters of PA will be hitting the ground running: working to win seats in the state Senate to reclaim a pro-environment majority, organizing locally and holding constituent meetings with dozens of lawmakers, and cultivating more partnerships with community organizations. 

But none of this is possible without our members chipping in during the long winter. Can you help us meet our ambitious goals with a donation of $20.00 or as much as you can give?
