John,

As 2023 comes to an end, Team Jamie is looking back on an incredible few months since we launched our campaign over the summer.

Every day since then, we’ve been connecting with Oregonians to talk about Jamie’s plans to bridge the urban-rural divide, bring people together to solve issues facing everyday Oregonians, and win this competitive race in 2024.

Before we share a few of our favorite memories of the year, can you chip in to support our work before our end-of-year fundraising deadline? If you can, please click here to chip in.

Launching Our Campaign

We kicked off our campaign in Bend, surrounded by family and friends.

Community leaders and grassroots supporters from across Oregon’s 5th district joined us to celebrate our launch. Leaders from throughout the district spoke about our work in urban and rural areas, and the work of our grassroots team to build stronger and healthier communities.

It was a special day — and a great way to start our campaign!

Meaningful Endorsements

We’re proud of all of our endorsements, from the local to the state to the federal level — people like Deschutes Soil & Water Conservation District Board Member Jeff Rola, Oregon State Senator Deb Patterson, and the first woman to represent Vermont in the House of Representatives, Becca Balint.

We’re especially proud of the endorsements Jamie has received from organizations fighting for working people, like the Heat and Frost Insulators, Local 36, and United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 555 (Green Light) as well as The Vocal Seniority in Central Oregon.

Jamie has also proudly been endorsed by Equality PAC, LPAC, the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, and Indivisible Sisters!

Recognizing Jamie’s Commitment to Building Community

Jamie was honored with the Liberty and Hope Award from Oregon’s League of Minority Voters for her work championing the voting rights of those whose voices often go unheard.

Working across the aisle with those who believe in democracy is crucial to solving problems (and building a winning campaign). Jamie has built a reputation for her bipartisan work in “purple” areas to solve problems and ensure everyone has a voice in our elections.

The Clear Frontrunner

An independent poll conducted in November reaffirmed a summer poll that shows Jamie is the candidate that Democrats in Oregon's 5th District want to represent them in Congress.

Bottom line: We need to flip this seat, and the House, to get Congress back to work for Oregonians, building healthy communities. It’s clear that Jamie is the candidate to do it.

Looking Ahead

Thank you for your continued support of our campaign. As we look ahead to 2024, Jamie is excited to continue her work on the campaign trail, listening to Oregonians throughout our district, discussing policies to support working families, seniors, and students in our shared work to protect our fundamental rights, defend our democracy, and safeguard our environment.

You can’t develop good policy without understanding the challenges that communities face at the local level. That’s why it’s always been so important to Jamie to show up, listen, and work together to build a better future together.

We look forward to having these conversations in your community and hearing your ideas on how Congress can invest in building healthier communities — please reach out to us!

We need to win this primary, flip this district, and get the House back to work for Oregonians!

If you can, please click here to make a donation to our campaign before our fundraising deadline at the end of the year. Any amount makes a huge difference.

With appreciation,

All of us @ Team Jamie
