I don’t like asking for money. If I had my choice, I’d spend every minute of my time talking with people across Virginia about their lives, working on legislation that will help American families, and of course, hanging out with my wife and kids (they’re the coolest!). 

But the truth is, I’m up for reelection in what is shaking out to be one of the most pivotal races for control of the Senate in our lifetimes. 

I have nine GOP opponents lining up to challenge me already, and we all know Mitch McConnell and the national GOP are willing to spend whatever it takes to secure a Republican Senate majority.

I’m going to fight back, but I need the resources to do so. 

That’s why I’m reaching out: I’m running a grassroots campaign funded by folks just like you, and the money we’re raising right now is essential to defeating my Republican opponent and blocking Mitch McConnell from winning the majority.

This morning, my team launched a $50,000 mid-month fundraising goal that we need to reach by midnight this Friday, December 15th, if we want to stay on track for our plans to win in 2024. 

Can I count on you to contribute $20 or $25 today to help us reach this critical goal?

I know you get a lot of emails asking you for money, but I’ll give you my word right now: Every single dollar you give will go directly toward the fight for a better, fairer, more just Virginia and United States.
