Hello --

Right now, people across the globe are facing a public health crisis, and keeping our families and communities safe from COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is my top priority.

As a father of two, I never stop worrying about my children's health, and this recent challenge has definitely increased those worries. But in times as unsure as these, I find comfort in educating and arming myself with the information needed to ease my fears.

To that end, I'd like you to be as informed as possible and help you engage in good health practices. Together, we can keep ourselves, our families, and our communities healthy and safe during this time.

You can visit the Iowa Department of Public Health or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more information:

If you develop the symptoms below and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19, contact your doctor immediately.

- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath

Here are a few additional reminders to keep you and your loved ones healthy:

CDC tips:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least twenty seconds.
- If soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Stay calm, stay mindful, and stay safe.

Best,

Eddie Mauro
