Friends and neighbors,
As the holiday season is upon us, I want to wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas! As we gather with family and friends to exchange gifts, look at light displays, and enjoy treats, let us take a moment to remember the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of Jesus Christ, who brought hope and salvation to the world.
On that silent and holy night in Bethlehem, God gave us the greatest gift by sending His only son to be our Savior. As the angels proclaim the good news of "peace on earth and goodwill towards men,” may that message fill our hearts this Christmas.
May the joy and promises of Christ's birth inspire us to shine the light of God's love to all. And always remember Christmas is a federal holiday, which means you can say Merry Christmas in schools and government buildings.
Have a blessed and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
