State Chair's Corner

Aloha Fellow Republicans and Cherished Communities of Hawaii,

As we gather with our families, friends, and loved ones to celebrate this joyous season, I, Tamara McKay, State Chair, extend the warmest of Christmas greetings to each and every one of you. This is a time of gathering where we are  filled with hope and is a time to reflect on our shared values as well as the beautiful diversity that makes our islands so unique.

In the spirit of aloha, let's embrace the message of Christmas, which inspires unity, compassion, and goodwill towards all. May this season be a time of peace and joy for you and your loved ones. As we look back on the year that has passed, we acknowledge the challenges we've faced and the strides we've made together. It's a testament to the resilience and enduring spirit of our community, State and Country.

Let's also look forward to the New Year with optimism and a renewed commitment to working together for the betterment of our beloved Hawaii and the upcoming election. Our shared goals and dreams for a prosperous, safe, and vibrant Hawaii continue to unite us across all islands.  It is time for us to rise for the good of the people and come together. It's time to flee 2023, and open the door to 2024.

May the magic of Christmas fill your hearts and homes, and may the New Year bring health, happiness, and prosperity to you and your families.

Mele Kalikimaka and Hauʻoli Makahiki Hou!

Warm regards,

Tamara McKay State Chair

From the desk of the Presidential Caucus Chair

Aloha Hawaii Republicans,
Eight Republican Presidential candidates are looking for leadership in Hawaii.  Should they be looking at you?

The campaigns will be naming delegates to the Republican National Convention.  Would you like to be one of the delegates?
The Trump campaign and the DeSantis campaign have selected their Hawaii Leadership Committees as provided under Hawaii Republican Party Rule 215-A.
If you would like to be part of the Hawaii Leadership Committee for one the remaining six candidates, please email Hawaii Republican Presidential Caucus Chair Andrew Walden at [email protected].

The outcome of the Hawaii Republican Presidential Caucus, Tuesday March 12, 2024, 6pm to 8pm, will directly determine proportional delegate allocation among the competing candidates.  Hawaii’s 19 delegates and 16 alternates will be representing your caucus vote at the Republican National Convention July 15-18, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
December 1, 2023 was the deadline for Presidential candidates to register for the Hawai’i Republican Presidential Caucus.  The eight candidates on the Hawai’i ballot are:
  • Donald J Trump
  • Ron DeSantis
  • Nikki Haley
  • Vivek Ramaswamy
  • Ryan L Binkley
  • Doug Burgum
  • Chris Christie
  • David Stuckenberg
Hawaii Leadership Committees for Trump and DeSantis:
Trump
DeSantis The six other candidates are in the process of selecting their Hawaii Leadership Committee.  Each campaign’s Hawaii Leadership Committee will be responsible for selecting any delegates to the Republican Presidential Convention apportioned as a result of the March 12 vote.  The Hawaii Republican Presidential caucus is proportional, meaning several candidates could be awarded delegates, depending on the vote totals.

Hawaii Republican Party Rules 214-215-216 govern the Hawaii Republican Presidential Caucus.
