Friend,
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) allows our government to spy on U.S. citizens without a warrant, a blatant violation of our Constitution. I AGREE >>
Even though Congress knew years in advance FISA was going to expire at the end of 2023, the uniparty NEVER seriously considered or prioritized reforms. Not even after we saw the FISA abuse that took place with Carter Page and President Trump.
Instead of reforming FISA to protect Americans’ civil liberties, we were told to extend the Act into 2024, which robs Congress of the opportunity to make necessary reforms.
So, once again, the intelligence agencies that ignore the constraints on their power will go unaddressed and unpunished. And the warrantless surveillance of Americans, in direct violation of the Bill of Rights, will continue. THIS IS WRONG >>
In other words, friend, your texts, emails, and phone calls are collected and stored in a government database and then searched by government law enforcement agencies. All without a warrant.
