John, I've never been afraid to do what's right, even when it's unpopular. That's what separates me from my opponents on foreign policy. I don't wait to see what the polls tell me - I do what's right from the jump.

In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, I was the ONLY Member of Congress to vote against the Authorization for Use of Military Force.

When the USA PATRIOT Act was passed weeks after 9/11, I lead the coalition to vote AGAINST it.

As the military budget continues to bloat, I have continuously pushed to slash Pentagon spending. I've voted against the last seven defense spending bills and this past spring, I once again introduced legislation to reduce the Pentagon's budget in conjunction with their failed audits.

NOW, I was one of the first Members of Congress to call for a ceasefire in the devastating conflict in Israel and Gaza. A real ceasefire, without impossible conditions, is the BEST path forward towards real peace and security in the region.

I didn't need to evolve on this issue, my record speaks for itself. And I definitely didn't need any poll to tell me to be on the side of PEACE!

John, I'm running for the Senate because we urgently need more advocates for peace in this chamber of Congress.

There are far too many senators who have been bought by the military-industrial complex or are simply too afraid to call for peace. As it stands, there are currently only FOUR senators calling for a ceasefire.

John, we need more champions for peace in the Senate – and if you help send me there, that's exactly what I'll be. California and our nation deserve a true leader with a real, unwavering record on foreign policy, and I'm ready to be that leader in the Senate.
