The Michigan Opportunity podcast [ [link removed] ] and The Great Voice [ [link removed] ] are teaming up to share guests? voices and stories across the state. As part of this partnership with WJR, The Michigan Opportunity will bring dynamic discussions that provide unique and distinctive perspectives on a variety of industry trends and themes, and the impact those have on their businesses and organizations. Through conversations, led by host Ed Clemente, listeners learn how each guest shares the role of innovation in economic development and the importance of attracting and retaining talent in the state.?

Since launching in 2021, The Michigan Opportunity has interviewed more than 200 business leaders and innovators discussing how the state is driving job growth and business investment, supporting a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, building vibrant communities, and helping to attract and retain one of the most diverse, talented workforces in the nation.

?Partnering with The Great Voice and WJR allows Team Michigan to deliver these dynamic stories of innovation and growth to a larger state-wide audience,? noted Ed Clemente, The Michigan Opportunity podcast host and producer. ?The Michigan Opportunity offers a look into the global future for trends and how the private sector, public sector, NGO?s and individuals are working on direction setting for their future success. The show is focusing on the adaptation of innovation, talent, technology, sustainability, global trends, planning, and the X factor for their organizations, of where they need to be in the future, and how does Michigan create a fertile attractive ecosystem for them to grow.?

The Michigan Opportunity serves as a forward-thinking voice for Michigan as a conduit to global trends and applications to the new global economy. The podcast is one more way MEDC is continuing to build on its ongoing efforts to highlight the state?s economic growth and to market and promote Michigan.

Weekly episodes will be aired on WJR on Saturdays. The first episode features Reuben Sarkar, CEO at American Center for Mobility and Zachary Kolodin, Chief Infrastructure Officer and Director of the Michigan Infrastructure Office as they discuss the $1 billion investment by the Department of Energy to build a clean hydrogen hub in Michigan. The second episode showcases the perspective of Jeff Thompson, Founder and Co-Partner, Shaggy's Copper Country Skis and Chris MacInnes, President of Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville as they talk about their respective family-owned businesses in northern Michigan.
