John,
We’ve known for a long time that the goal of anti-abortion extremists is to control our bodies and personal healthcare decisions—and they have no intention of stopping at abortion bans.
For decades, they’ve attacked birth control, both through disinformation campaigns and through policies that make birth control difficult to access.
Now, anti-choice politicians are again trying to hide the ball on reproductive freedom. They know that birth control is extremely popular, so they are saying one thing while literally doing the opposite. Just last week, MAGA extremist Kellyanne Conway urged anti-choice politicians to publicly promote birth control access—despite their decades-long track record of attacking birth control access at every level.
But as they say, when someone shows you who they are, believe them. Now that Roe v. Wade is gone and these anti-choice politicians have passed new abortion restrictions in dozens of states, we cannot trust these same voices when they try to backpedal. Their records speak for themselves.
If you haven’t yet, can you pledge now to vote in every race on your ballot in 2024, from top to bottom?
We don’t accept lip service when it comes to reproductive freedom and gender justice—and certainly not from the same people who routinely dismantle our most basic bodily autonomy.
As the year comes to an end, thank you for trusting us in this work and for staying vigilant in this movement.
In solidarity,
Team Vote Pro-Choice
