Dear City Limits friends, Throughout the holiday season, and throughout the year, we deliver local independent journalism to cover the issues vital to all New Yorkers, foster civic engagement, and amplify the voices of the unheard. And just as important, we champion the next generation of journalists. Informed citizens are critical for a healthy, thriving democracy. Since 2014, our paid internship program, CLARIFY News, has introduced NYC students to the power of public-service journalism. This initiative not only gives students real-world work, civics, and writing experience, it can also have a significant downstream impact on the students and society. Help us empower youth through this unique training program for public service journalism, and build a pipeline of diverse journalists for future newsrooms.
