You can’t use taxpayer money to advertise for Big Drug

From the desk of Andrei Cherny

John, I wanted you to know that I have sent a letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics calling on them to launch a new investigation into David Schweikert.

Here’s why: Earlier this month, just weeks after taking a large contribution from Big Drug company Novo Nordisk, Schweikert used a taxpayer-funded constituent email to advertise Novo Nordisk’s “buy now, pay later” offer.

FIGHT BACK →

It had nothing to do with his duties or any legislation – it was simply using government resources to put up a digital billboard for his drug company campaign contributor.

This contribution was no small potatoes – it was the second-largest one he received in the entire 3rd quarter of the year.

Doing the bidding of drug companies is not new for Schweikert. He has taken more than $260,000 from the prescription drug industry and has voted to protect their profits at the expense of higher costs. He voted against letting Medicare negotiate for lower prices, against capping insulin at $35 a month, and against cracking down on price gouging.

As a former Arizona Assistant Attorney General focusing on fraud and public corruption, I am ready to take on Schweikert’s shady ethics. I refuse to take a dollar from Big Drug companies or any other corporate PAC because Arizonans deserve a member of Congress who works for them, not corporate donors or special interests.

That means I’m counting on folks like you chipping in $5, $25, $50, or $500 to fund our campaign. So, can I count on you to donate to my campaign today? We’re running out of time before our critical end-of-year deadline, and we must show we have what it takes to defeat Schweikert and his Big Drug backers.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
$5 → $25 →
$50 → $500 →
OTHER AMOUNT →

Thank you for your support,

– Andrei
