Over 13 years ago, Congress passed the Affordable Care Act, changing our nation's healthcare story.   We have 10 days until our end-of-year fundraising deadline! Chip in today and support Judy's efforts to win back the House in 2024! Dear John, Over 13 years ago, Congress passed the Affordable Care Act, changing our nation's healthcare story. In the years since, we have continued to build on the benefits of the ACA – lowering the cost of prescription drugs, capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month, and increasing the income limit to expand the number of low-income families who qualify for financial support – making this coverage even more beneficial to the millions of working families who rely on it. Here in CA-28: 255,100 (37%) of our residents rely on publicly provided health insurance from the ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, or through Veterans' resources. 108,000 seniors in California benefit from the $35 cap on monthly insulin costs. 53,000 residents can now access healthcare through more affordable plans made available through the Democrats' American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act. On average, Californians have saved $804 annually on premiums because of these bills. And what is good for us at home is also good for our nation. Since 2011, over 20 million previously uninsured Americans have been fully insured, and public support is at an all-time high, as 62% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the Affordable Care Act. But – leaders in the Republican Party remain ardently anti-ACA. These leaders are out of touch with the real-life healthcare needs of our working families in Southern California and across the country. To protect vital healthcare for our community and those across the country, we must keep these out-of-touch Republicans out of power. DONATE TODAY Communities that rely on the safe and affordable healthcare provided through the ACA rely on everyone to vote for leaders who will protect and expand that care, not repeal it. Let's keep our communities healthy!
