Cao, who was handpicked by the NRSC, is a far-right MAGA Republican. He has called President Biden a “dictator” and compared abortion to the Holocaust. It’s no surprise that Cao is planning to vote for Trump. But it should scare all of us that Mitch McConnell and the NRSC have placed Virginia on the “Targeted State Victory” list -- making VA one of their main targets to flip in 2024. Now that he’s endorsed Trump, Cao is sure to get even more funding from right-wing GOP donors who want to outlaw abortion, repeal the Affordable Care Act, and roll back the progress we’ve made.
