Friend —
I’m about to ask you to chip in $10 or any amount to help elect my wife, Emily Randall, to Congress.
But first, I want to tell you about our wedding vows:
Last August, as Emily and I exchanged wedding vows, I promised to support Emily in all her future campaigns.Â
I didn’t think I’d have to make good on that promise so soon! But when we learned there would be an open seat in the 6th Congressional District, I could think of no better person to represent me in Congress than Emily.
Yes, I know, I’m biased. But I see how hard Emily works to improve our neighbors' lives. Her experiences of caring for her sister, navigating the healthcare system, applying for student loans, dealing with discrimination, and more give her the perspective we often miss in the halls of power.
I’ve watched Emily take calls from constituents at all hours. Our weekends (and sometimes our vacations!) often include community events and town halls.Â
When we go to the grocery store, Emily talks to neighbors about the challenges they’re facing. Yes, it takes much longer to run errands than it used to, but I’m constantly impressed by the heart, energy, and brilliant problem-solving she brings to her work.
So, because I want the best representation possible — and because of the vows I made last August — I’m asking: Can you please donate $10 or any amount to Emily’s campaign before the end-of-year deadline?
CONTRIBUTE
We can only win this race by building a mighty crew of grassroots donors. Please give what you can – I know Emily will make us proud.
Thank you so much,
— Alison Leahey (aka Emily Randall’s wife)
