The state budget process is moving quickly and due to the COVID-19 pandemic the NYS Capitol is closed to the general public. Even though we can’t be in the Capitol we will make our voices heard. We need our state leaders to pass a budget that protects children and families, not millionaires and billionaires.
Join us from wherever you are on Tuesday, March 17, as thousands of New Yorkers in cities around New York State make a stand for public schools! Instead of spending a whole day traveling to Albany, we’re asking each of you to commit to spending 1-3 hours on Tuesday March 17th to taking actions that you can do from anywhere.

Action #1Take a Photo: Hold a sign saying, Tax Billionaires, Fund Schools and post on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter
Action #2 Take a video: Take a 1 min video on why school funding is important to you and post on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter.

While we are all practicing social distancing to the extent we can, the state budget process is continuing as scheduled. That’s why we #CantStopWontStop fighting for full funding of Foundation Aid now. This pandemic shed light to how underresourced our schools are, with some of them not having soap or hot water or having so many students in need of school meals that they can’t close. That’s not right. We need full funding for schools now. Join us!
