Friend – if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm an Ohioan through and through. 

I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, where I walked the hallways of Johnny Appleseed Junior High with the sons and daughters of union workers. I loved spending summers on our family farm and going to baseball games with my dad, and I'm proud to call Cleveland home to this day.

My love for our state and my deep belief in our shared values is why I ran for the Senate – to fight for hardworking families and be a voice for them in Washington. I'm as committed as I've ever been to this mission, but I need your help to keep it up. 

CNN says I'm one of the most vulnerable senators up for reelection, and Republicans are already launching attack ads to defeat me. With polls showing this race neck and neck, I'm counting on folks like you to help me fight back.
