Evidence from our investigations provides governments, financial institutions, and law enforcement agencies with the information needed to take targeted action against the people profiting from mass atrocities.
This year we delivered 25 investigative case files, more than 100 briefings, and screening data on 129 individuals and entities. Evidence from our work contributed to sanctions on at least 23 individuals and 32 companies, including entities tied to the warring parties in Sudan's civil war, the junta in Myanmar, and Russia’s Wagner Group. What’s more, many of these designations have been coordinated across the US, UK, and the EU, making it much harder for corrupt actors to evade sanctions and access the international financial system.
