Friend,
I hope you and your loved ones are doing well.
At 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, I voted with 339 other Members of Congress to pass the bipartisan
Families First Coronavirus Response Act. This bill is a crucial first step to help families across the country.
The
Families First Coronavirus Response Act includes paid sick leave, paid family and medical leave, enhanced unemployment insurance, free coronavirus testing, food security initiatives, and a crucial expansion of Medicaid. Our work on additional legislation to manage this crisis will continue.
When I got back home from the vote, I recorded a short video about the
Families First Coronavirus Response Act -- and why the Senate must pass and send it to the President for his signature as soon as possible.
Please take a moment to watch the video on Facebook and share it with your friends:
Please continue to be mindful of your health and wellbeing.
I urge you to follow the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, which you can find here:
We can and we must work together to manage this crisis. Let's be sure to look out for and care for each other.
Be safe and healthy.
With love,
Antonio Delgado
