It’s been four years since the mission and efforts of Friends of the Everglades was fortified by a strategic partnership with the organization formerly known as Bullsugar (now VoteWater). The alliance tethered Friends’ storied history of impact — which began in 1969 with founder Marjory Stoneman Douglas — with Bullsugar’s modern-day mission to turn environmental outrage into political action.
Each entity is strengthened by the alliance. Since we joined forces, VoteWater’s ability to build political will to save the greater Everglades ecosystem has been bolstered by the science and policy expertise of Friends of the Everglades. To this day, this alliance remains one of our most powerful and defining features — setting us apart from many traditional 501(c)3 organizations and amplifying our voice in a way that is forceful and uncompromising for the Everglades. Just as Marjory would have wanted.
As a supporter of VoteWater, you know how important these efforts are. Now more than ever, we must work together to ensure a promising future for South Florida and its famed River of Grass.
As the final days of the year approach, you can remain an integral part of our clean-water advocacy by supporting Friends of the Everglades with a tax-deductible, year-end donation.
Will you help us preserve, protect and restore the only Everglades in the world?
