Hi friends,
My name is Debra Hixon, and this is my husband Chris. In 2018, Chris was murdered during the Parkland Massacre.
As a US Navy veteran and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s athletic director and wrestling coach, Chris was used to giving his all to serve those in his community, and he died doing the same — storming into the building to confront the gunman terrorizing his school.
Although it’s painful, in honor of Chris and the other 16 Parkland Victims, I’ve dedicated my life to changing policies and passing the laws our country needs to make staff, teachers and students safe going to school again.
With many states’ new legislative sessions beginning in 2024, me and the other founding families of Stand with Parkland are gearing up for a big year of work ahead of us, but we need help raising enough funds to ensure we’re able to take advantage of every chance we can get to meet with elected officials about passing school safety legislation.
If you’re able, can you help me honor my husband's life by making a donation in support of Stand with Parkland’s work today? Whatever amount you can give will help us continue to drive real progress on school safety, and would mean the world to me.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration,
