What a year! It’s hard to believe it’s almost time to turn the calendar to 2024.

Over the past 11 months, the economic destruction for Texans worsened, as record-high levels of inflation continued with no end in sight while property tax bills continued to increase. The invasion on our southern border also worsened, with historic increases of illegal aliens invading our country like never before. And of course, the assault on children continues, especially in government school classrooms.

But there is still good news!

Texans got involved and engaged and made a massive difference. If you didn’t follow Texas Scorecard, you might not ever know about the dozens of citizen-led victories this year.

From school board meetings to legislative committee hearings to outrage at our public universities, citizens spoke up.

And because citizens spoke up in the loudest way possible, our lawmakers, bureaucratic agencies, and local officials were forced to uphold the will of the people.

Texas needs a LOT more people fighting with us if we are ever going to truly let the Lone Star State shine as bright as the world needs.
