Since the launch of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Program — two of PA’s existing school voucher programs) — our state has funneled over two billion of what would otherwise be taxpayer dollars to private and religious schools.

And while these schools haven’t given us data on how these dollars have actually benefited students, we DO know that this money is used by private and religious schools to discriminate against parents and students.

According to the report, nearly 1 in 5 participating OTSC schools have explicit statements discriminating against LGBTQ+ students and their families.
