Jack, Daily Kos is not here to turn a profit. We exist to build the progressive movement by delivering the news, dismantling disinformation, providing immediate and effective actions, and helping to elect better Democrats.

Every dollar we raise goes directly to achieving those goals and our mission—not to some shareholders' wallets or to line a billionaire's pocket. When we exceed our fundraising goals, we put that money right back into expanding our work and building the progressive movement.

Unfortunately, this year, we haven't been able to do that. This year has been financially difficult for Daily Kos. We have seen two out of our three revenue sources continually miss their budget projections. So instead of investing in the movement, we have had to make up for budget shortfalls.

As we head into the 2024 election cycle, it's no longer enough for Daily Kos just to survive, we need to thrive. We can't do that without your ongoing support.
