Small actions lead to big outcomes, Friend.
Creating our vision of safe and healthy communities for every New Yorker is not a sprint – it’s a marathon, and marathons are measured mile by mile.
The small, everyday actions we take – whether that’s attending a chapter meeting or rallying with our movement partners – can create transformative change for our communities, and they have already.
Over the past year, our movement pushed New York to become the first state to end gas in new construction, reducing climate-heating pollution and creating jobs in clean energy. We also won a minimum wage raise across New York State, tying it to inflation so it never falls behind again for workers.
These victories took years of consistent organizing, press conferences, rallies, and pressuring our elected leaders to do right by the people they represent. To keep winning like this, we need you to take consistent action with us, Friend.
As we prepare for the fights to come in 2024, we set an ambitious goal of bringing in 100 new monthly donors by December 31 to sustain our organizing work going forward.
Supporting our work helps our movement by:
-
Giving us reliable revenue that provides financial stability to our work, helping us sustain our community organizing and direct actions over longer periods of time.
- Showing strong support for our movement to create safe and healthy communities and a livable future for every New Yorker.
- Providing an independent source of revenue so we can continue running uncompromising campaigns that answer to our communities.
Friend, can we count on you to help us sustain our work over the next year by committing to become a monthly donor? Our average monthly donation is $17, but we hope you can give at whatever level you can right now.
For about 56 cents a day, your contribution builds a path forward for winning the world we deserve. New York can be a leader in climate solutions, housing affordability, and job creation – but we need to organize harder than ever before to make this a reality.
We can’t slow down in 2024, Friend. We’re up against Mayor Adams’ extreme budget cuts and Gov. Kathy Hochul’s refusal to tax the ultra-rich – we must create the political conditions to win for our communities by organizing and fighting back.
When we organize together, we change the state of play for everyday New Yorkers. We’ve done it before, and we can do it again but we need the resources to win. Your consistent contribution can help us sustain our ambitious campaigns for 2024 and beyond.
We believe we can and will achieve major change with our movement, and we need you with us. Can you be one of 100 new monthly contributions we need to transform our organizing work and New York in the new year?
Thank you for everything you do,
Olivia Leirer & Lucas Sanchez
