Friend,
Warrantless surveillance.
Unauthorized wars.
Civil asset forfeiture.
Lockdowns.
Corporate welfare.
Price inflation.
Crackdowns on free expression.
A few congressional leaders dictating outcomes to everyone
else.
This is what we get when
power is centralized.
This is what we get when “might makes right,” when critical
thinking is squelched, when dissenting or unpopular opinions are
suppressed, when local knowledge is ignored, and when individuals are
told they have nothing to fear if they have nothing to hide.
It’s no wonder many
people feel more isolated, disaffected, and mistrustful than
ever.
Things are a mess. But it doesn’t have to be this
way.
People are waking up. They know that things aren’t
right – even if they can’t yet put their finger on exactly how or
why.
This isn’t the life or world most people want. They want something
different.
They want to feel at home
in their communities. They want to help their neighbors instead
of reporting them; to trade with them instead of stealing from them;
to talk to them instead of silencing them.
They want to feel
empowered to make their own choices for themselves and their
families. They want governmental decisions to happen as close
to home as possible so they can have a say.
They want their hard work
to mean something and its value not to be undermined by
out-of-control spending and inflationary policies set by far-off
bureaucrats.
That’s what Expand Liberty wants, too – and it’s
why we’re bringing together people from all backgrounds who value
self-governance, voluntary exchange and cooperation, free expression,
sound money, and communities founded on mutual respect and trust.
It’s why Expand Liberty PAC supports
decentralization – and why it supports policies and
candidates dedicated to the ideals of a decentralized future.
