John, one of my
favorite holiday traditions is baking with my kids, and this year Betsy
and I branched out and tried different types of bark, thanks to some
recipes Betsy found on Instagram.

Only about half of these turned out edible. That white chocolate—key to a
good peppermint bark—was a few years old. Apparently, it was past its
prime, and it refused to melt properly or swirl like it did in the recipe
video (although, my daughter reminded me we cannot fully trust what we see
from Instagram influencers).

Now, in the recipe for a successful Senate campaign, YOU are our most
important ingredient. And as I was reminded this week when I tried the bad
bark, you have to refresh your resources!

Because I don’t take money from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, or Big
