The climate crisis is taking a devastating toll on our wildlife and our planet.

Last week, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the leading tracker of threats to global biodiversity, released their new Red List of Threatened Species at the United Nations climate conference. According to their report, there are now over 44,000 species that are in danger of extinction – many of which are being caused by the worsening climate crisis.

Team, if we don’t step up and take the necessary steps to meaningfully combat climate change, many of the wildlife species we grew up knowing like polar bears, green turtles, and even frogs could become lost to history. And the only way we can take this threat on is through federal action.

Lori believes we have a responsibility to protect the planet our children will inherit, but extremists in Congress – many of whom describe climate change as a hoax – are standing in the way of passing much-needed legislation to strengthen our response to the climate crisis.
