Hi folks,

In the spirit of the holiday season, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what brings me joy.

Several things come to mind, including spending time with my niece and nephews, walking my dog, Lulu, in the park, and watching University of Illinois football games.

But one of the things I’ve found brings me the most joy over the last year is being able to sit down and listen to voters.

When I ran for Congress, I knew there were communities in our district that had been underserved and underrepresented for decades, and I was ready to stand up to the challenge to ensure every single person in IL-13 had a seat at the table.

And since this grassroots movement helped elect me last year, I’ve done just that. Every visit, conversation, and moment with constituents fuel my efforts to go back to Washington to fight for legislation that will lower everyday costs, improve our roads and bridges, and implement safety nets for family farmers.

I am more fired up than ever to continue connecting with folks across Central and Southern Illinois and advocating for them in Washington, but I am up for reelection in 2024, so I need your help to make that a reality.
