John,
Over the last two months, almost 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, 70% of whom are women and children. That is a devastating loss of human life. As country with a diplomatic relationship with Israel and that sends money towards its military, we have an obligation to call for a ceasefire and end this horrific violence.
We cannot bomb our way to peace—we must keep pushing for diplomatic solutions. We need a permanent ceasefire NOW.
John, add your name to our petition demanding a ceasefire now so that we can continue to save lives and de-escalate

Not only has the continued military violence in Gaza killed tens of thousands of Palestinians and displaced over a million others, it’s also put the hostages' lives in further danger. Last week, the Israeli army shot and killed three hostages. During the temporary ceasefire, dozens of hostages and over 100 Palestinian political prisoners were released. We saw a glimpse into the alternative to endless missiles and civilian death.
We must continue to vigorously push for a permanent ceasefire that ends this violence, protects and saves lives, and ensures the safe return of all hostages, including those who are being arbitrarily detained.
That’s why we’re asking you to sign on as a supporter of this resolution to pressure Cori’s fellow members of Congress who have yet to sign that the people of this country want diplomatic solutions, not more bombing.
