I’ve spent the past fifteen years serving North Carolina. I’ve advocated for consumers, worked to keep families safe, held corporate wrongdoers to account, and defended reproductive and voting rights.

North Carolina is also my home. My wife Anna and I both grew up here. We raised our three kids here. They all went to North Carolina public schools, just like Anna and I did.

I love this state and think it’s the best place to live, work, and raise a family. But I’m deeply concerned about the path we’re heading down.

Thanks to a Republican supermajority in the legislature, we’re facing further attacks on our rights and attempts to institute far-right extremist policies that would drag us backward.

And if we lose the Governor’s Office, they could get away with all of it.
