From healthcare and education to environmental stewardship and economic development, here’s what she’s been working on to move our state forward: → Education Advocacy: Amanda remains relentless in pushing back against proposed book bans across Pennsylvania and protecting our public education system. Right now, a GOP-controlled Senate has stalled her efforts to put an end to book bans in our state. But, Amanda’s continuing to stand up and fight back against Republican-led efforts to curb free speech in PA. → Environmental Protections: Amanda is leading the charge in the PA Senate to address the detrimental impacts of our energy economy on the environment and public health. She joined over 400 officials nationwide to call on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to enact the highest possible standards on coal and gas-fired power plants to move us closer to a clean energy economy and improve the health of our families for generations to come. → Reproductive Healthcare: Along with colleagues in the PA Senate, Amanda introduced a comprehensive legislative package to protect patients seeking reproductive healthcare across the state, keeping healthcare decisions between patients and their doctors. In the absence of federal protections for abortion, Amanda is fighting to ensure that our rights remain protected across the Commonwealth. Across the board, Amanda steps up, even when the work isn’t easy. Now, she’s launched her re-election efforts to continue doing this critical work in the PA Senate, but she can’t do it alone.
