Join Cooper in Fighting Antisemitism
Dear John,
Imagine hiking 275 miles for eight days through the pouring rain.
Cooper Katzman, a high school senior from Vermont, doesn’t have to imagine it. He made the hike of a lifetime from Canada to Massachusetts this year, raising $6,000 for ADL!
“My feet hurt. My legs burned. Everything was uncomfortable,” Cooper said at the end of his journey. “The last two miles... the trail was soaked... [But] I had this whole community, all of these people, sending me love and support, and it carried me over the [finish line].”
Each day, Cooper honored victims of antisemitism and hate. One day, he honored a rabbi who was stabbed. The next, a Holocaust survivor. Another, the victims of The Tree of Life synagogue building massacre.
John, join Cooper in fighting the horrors of antisemitism.

Even though he has not been the direct victim of antisemitism, Cooper says he was disturbed that “all these things are happening around my community,” including the burning of a rabbi’s house.
John, Cooper’s efforts show he understands that hate against one is hate against all.
I hope you do too.
Because ADL’s year-end fundraising campaign is underway. And

My First Gift to Fight Antisemitism
ADL’s Audit of Antisemitic Incidents found there were 3,697 hateful antisemitic incidents in 2022, including assaults, harassment and vandalism.
And since the Hamas terrorists’ attack in Israel on October 7, the level of antisemitic incidents in the U.S. has skyrocketed 337% over the same period last year, with more than 2,000 incidents reported to ADL.
Cooper Katzman’s journey is a call to action for all of us to do something about this crisis.

My Gift to Fight Hate
Cooper’s strenuous eight-day journey was a meaningful way to highlight the horrors of antisemitism and hate and honor the people who have fallen victim to its evils.
John, you don’t have to walk 275 miles to support ADL.
