Just in case you need to hear this, too.

Hi, my friends. I hope your Sunday was peaceful and/or productive.

I was having a conversation with some of my dearest friends and there
was something I wanted to share with you guys too. It's something I
really want you to remember.

Even if you've prepared for a situation like the one that is evolving
now, there are always going to be holes in our preps. There is no way to
plan for every contingency or have all the supplies we will ever need.

We are also going to have uncooperative people which will be a major
factor in whether our plans go smoothly or not.

Disasters or SHTFs (or whatever you want to call them) aren't smooth and
easy events. It is the nature of the beast that things will go wrong.

Don't let the variables make you feel like you're failing. You may have
to adapt your plan. You may have to improvise. You may have to scrap the
whole damn thing. And that's a sign you're doing this right - your
ability and willingness to change your plan if you see it isn't working.

Trust me, all of our best-laid plans could easily go to shit over the
coming months. That isn't a failure on your part. Don't stubbornly stick
with things that aren't working. Always be ready to pivot. And remember,
we can only do what we can do.

Some resources...

Here are some unusual places I saw supplies.

Since my daughter is still working in retail (I hope her store closes
soon) I have been out more than I normally would. Today I stopped at a
few places to break some $20s I got from the ATM into smaller bills. I
found some supplies in unusual places. They might not be exactly what
you want, but if you have found yourself short of supplies, then it may
be helpful.

Gas stations: Gatorade, iced tea, bottled water, juice, nuts, crackers,
snacks
Convenience stores: Same as above plus a few grocery items, cleaning
supplies, alcohol
Dollar stores: Canned goods, pasta, rice, juice, applesauce, candy,
cookies, crackers, snacks, cleaning supplies, OTC medications, Kleenex,
band-aids
