I wanted to hear this from me first: Republicans just launched an absurd lawsuit challenging my ballot designation as a “Counterterrorism Attorney.”

This is nothing but a distraction by Ken Calvert and his cronies — they know that we have the momentum to flip CA-41, and they’re scared, desperate, and willing to do anything to slow us down.

Here’s the truth: As a federal prosecutor, I served in the Terrorism and Export Crimes Section of the National Security Division, went after Al-Qaeda terrorists and Iranian nationals who violated US sanctions, and prosecuted the insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol on January 6th. Now, I rely on my counterterrorism experience in private legal practice and lecture on counterterrorism law at Riverside City College.

My opponent Ken Calvert on the other hand has zero law enforcement experience and has spent the last three decades enriching himself in Congress. In fact, he voted to defund law enforcement this year, and has even called for dropping charges against insurrections who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6. 

Calvert is clearly terrified of the sharp contrast between his record and mine, which is exactly why he’s resorting to these fruitless attacks.
