Hello Democrats,
Echoing Hitler and other racist far-right dictators throughout history, Trump recently espoused his downright racist and nationalistic views. Trump stated on Saturday, “illegal immigration is poisoning the blood of our nation. They’re coming from prisons, from mental institutions — from all over the world.” Not only is this a disgusting misrepresentation of immigrants, who make our country more diverse, strong, and dynamic, it completely ignores the essence of who we are as Americans. Racism has no place in our country, let alone our top Executive Office.
Trump’s own family history makes this all the more ironic. His own grandfather, Friedrich Drumpf, who later changed his surname to Trump, was deported from Germany as legal punishment for avoiding military service. Despite this, Trump still fails to see the astounding parallels in his own family’s story and the immigration rules he put into place that would likely keep individuals like his own grandfather out.
Democrats have less than a year to do absolutely everything in our power to stop this dangerous man from stepping foot anywhere near a position of power in this country. Allowing him to wield any sort of influence will cause irreparable damage to our country, society, and our standing in the world. Can we count on you to do your part to elect Democrats into office and prevent 4 more years of a disastrous Trump presidency?
