*Outreach at DFI*

*DFI *

DFI's Communications and Outreach team is busy booking presentations, workshops, and resource tables for 2024.

If you, or someone you know is interested in having DFI or one of our partners provide a financial education presentation/workshop or resource table, you can make that request online?Financial Education Presentation Request | Washington State Department of Financial Institutions [ [link removed] ]. Reserve your time as soon as possible - our calendars are filling up fast! Also, be sure to note whether you are seeking outreach in English, Spanish or both. We are happy to work with all Washington residents - all ages, and most financial topics (budgeting, saving, ID theft prevention, financial fraud prevention, basics of investing, basics of homeownership, credit/debt/scores/reports, retirement basics, elder fraud prevention, etc.).

Don't forget that April is Financial Capability Month and Saves Week has moved from February/March?into April. We hope to have the Governor proclamations for those to share with you in early 2024.

We're sad to share Money Smart Week is going away:?

"Money Smart Week is retiring after two decades of working to increase financial capability in local communities."

"Since 2002, dedicated supporters have contributed their time and expertise to make Money Smart Week successful. We would like to express sincere appreciation for your attendance at MSW programs and your hard work in creating them over the years."

"The financial education landscape has changed dramatically since Money Smart Week began. Government agencies, non-profits and universities have vastly expanded the educational resources available to consumers, and the internet has made them instantly available. We invite you to connect with these organizations for your financial education needs. The Money Smart Week website featuring presentations from some notable organizations will remain available until spring of 2024."
