Every day I’m on the campaign trail is a reminder of why I’m in this race.
I first ran for office because I saw how Republican budget cuts were hurting public schools — including the one my daughter attended. Our elected officials' choices have serious consequences, and I wanted to make sure there was a voice in the Arizona legislature speaking for our working families.
Last year, I ran for an open House seat against Juan Ciscomani. Republicans in Congress knew my opponent would be a guaranteed MAGA vote — so they poured everything they could into electing him.
My campaigns have been people-powered operations focused on issues affecting Arizona folks, like abortion, water security, and workers’ rights. So, while GOP super PACs were spending millions in our district for Ciscomani, we had volunteers going door to door for free.
We lost by one of the smallest margins in the country despite being outspent 6:1. And we proved that with more support, we could win in 2024.
Our campaign already has more momentum than we had at any point last year. But Republicans are going to put everything they have into protecting my opponent.
If we hit our quarterly fundraising goal, we’ll show MAGA donors we’re a serious threat. We’ll be able to hit the ground running in 2024 and get a headstart on reaching voters with our message.
Our campaign last year proved the power of grassroots donors. I need your support to win next November, so I have to ask: will you chip in before our end-of-quarter deadline in less than two weeks?
