As many of us are doing some last-minute shopping for the holidays, I'd like to spotlight the importance of supporting small businesses — and share a few that could use your support this season.
As an attorney of a small private practice, I've helped small businesses navigate complex and often burdensome regulations that often large corporations have the resources to deal with. It's painful and emotionally draining to see passionate, hardworking people struggle with an unfair system.
Under our leadership, we created incentives that reduce barriers for BIPOC and Women-Owned businesses. And under our guidance, West Hollywood earned the LAEDC Most Business-Friendly Small City Award. I'm proud of our progress, but there is more to be done to create a fair and equitable system to make it easier for small businesses to operate and thrive.
In Congress, I will continue our progress, working to cut red tape and have an open door for small businesses, helping them navigate the bureaucratic challenges that keep too many dreams from succeeding. If you would like to support our mission, please consider making a donation.
