My name is Desiree Tims. I'm a daughter of Dayton, Ohio, and I'm running to be the first African-American congresswoman to represent OH-10 in Congress.

My political life started in 2008, when I volunteered for President Obama's campaign, and I've never looked back. I worked in the Obama White House and the Senate for Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Sherrod Brown, where I was elected to serve as the President of the Senate Black Legislative Staff Caucus.

I'm running for Congress because I saw how the system works for the privileged while leaving out middle-class families like mine. It's unacceptable that when I graduated from high school I was using the same textbooks as private elementary school students.

I'm going to fight to ensure all our children have access to a great education, make sure healthcare is accessible and affordable to all, and bring 21st century jobs to the Miami Valley.

But to do all this, I need your help to win my primary on March 17.

With Election Day just days away, can you chip in to my campaign today to help us make history and bring Dayton the leadership it deserves?
