It’s that time of year again.

If your inbox looks anything like mine, it’s starting to fill up with emails asking you to support organizations you care about.

Like most nonprofits, Public Citizen can’t afford *not* to be part of this flurry, because so many people understandably save their charitable giving for the holiday season.

When someone donates during a big fundraising campaign like this, we stop sending them fundraising emails (at the address they used when donating) for the remainder of that campaign.

Now, I recognize that the prospect of a pause on hearing from me may not be the most compelling of motivations.
