Even as we reflect on this remarkable year, we are planning for a tough road ahead.
Throughout 2023, we continued to see the devastating impacts of climate change here at home. From the massive and deadly flooding in Bucks County this summer to the Canadian wildfires which released alarming amounts of pollutants into the air across the East Coast and threatened the health of millions, climate change is here. We need to act now if we’re going to avoid the worst predictions.
We know what we have to do. In 2024, we must:
✅Capitalize on the once-in-a-lifetime federal investments from President Biden’s Clean Energy Plan to bring clean energy projects and jobs, environmental justice initiatives, and economy-stimulating tax credits to all Pennsylvanians;
✅Pass proactive, pro-environment legislation in Harrisburg to protect against pollution and hasten the transition to a clean energy economy;
✅Elect more environmental champions up and down the ballot to increase our majority in the state House and make progress in flipping the state Senate.
